Google Maps Coordinates — Find, Copy, and Convert

Google Maps uses Decimal Degrees. Right-click any location to get its coordinates instantly.

Google Maps makes it easy to find coordinates for any location — and this converter makes it easy to use those coordinates in any format you need, from Garmin DDM to military MGRS.

How to Find Coordinates in Google Maps

On desktop: right-click any location on the map → the coordinates in Decimal Degrees appear at the top of the context menu. Click them to copy to clipboard. On mobile: long-press any location → the coordinates appear in the search bar at the top of the screen.

How to Navigate to Coordinates in Google Maps

In the search box, type the coordinates in Decimal Degrees: 47.6062, -122.3321. Google Maps will show a red pin at that location and offer directions. You can also type DMS coordinates like "47°36'22\"N 122°19'55\"W" — Google Maps will parse these too.

Converting Google Maps Coordinates for Garmin GPS

Google Maps shows DD; Garmin defaults to DDM. Paste the Google Maps coordinates into the converter above, then copy the DDM result (e.g., 47°36.372'N 122°19.926'W) for entry in your Garmin device.

Google Maps URLs with Coordinates

Google Maps URLs contain coordinates: maps.google.com/?q=47.6062,-122.3321. The two numbers after "?q=" are latitude and longitude in DD. You can construct these URLs yourself to share a precise location. The "@" in the URL (e.g., @47.6062,-122.3321,17z) is the map view center.

Plus Codes in Google Maps

Google Maps shows the Plus Code for any location in the information panel. The code like "84VRCWCV+GF" can be entered back into Google Maps search to navigate to that exact spot. Use this converter to convert a Plus Code to GPS coordinates for use with other devices.
